Travels
An exciting trip to an exotic or faraway destination is organised for all boarding students every year in October.
The purpose of which is to allow every boarding student to better get to know each other and to promote the sense of belonging and true solidarity within a group.
The key rule of such an experience is to listen to others and be in a good mood.
In the past, we have visited Mexico – where we met former students! – Thailand, and Kenya and Tanzania on safari. These kinds of experiences are emotionally bonding for both boarding students and supervisors.
Cultural trip to Greece – summer 2008
Last summer, all eyes were turned toward the great and noble country of China. The Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing gathered an impressive number of athletes from all around the world. The event was a grand celebration, not only athletically speaking of course, but also as an effort to promote friendship and understanding between people from all over the world.
It seemed only natural for us to go back to the source of the Olympic spirit, at the very place where the first Olympiads were held. Thus in October 2008, our annual cultural trip took us to Peloponnese and Attica. Our trek resembled a classic odyssey and allowed us immerse ourselves in Greek culture thanks to such magnificent sites as Corinth, the famous theatre of Epidaurus, Mycenae and its archaeological sites, Megapolis, Delphi the heart of the Antique world, and of course Olympia and Zeus’s sanctuary.
In the second part of the trip, we enjoyed a few relaxing days in Anavyssos, a seaside resort at the tip of the Attica Peninsula, next to Cap Sounion.
At the end of our unforgettable journey, we stopped in Athens and admired its celebrated Acropolis.

2007 – Mexico
Our fantastic journey in Mexico from October 3rd to 13th 2007, was fourfold:
- Beach vacation in Cancun, the world-known sea resort of Mexico
- Discovery of Maya and Puuc cultures, with excursions to Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Kabah, respectively.
- Adventure and excursion to the River Maya Xel-Ha ecological park, and finally
- A visit to our Mexican friends – four of our former boarding students – in Monterrey, capital of Nuevo Leon in the north-western part of the country.

2006 – Thailand
In 2006 we flew to Thailand and had the opportunity to go to the southern part of the country to visit the school of Banlamkam, which our College actively supports through the Jan & Oscar Foundation. Our boarding students had the possibility of meeting Thai students and creating lasting bonds between the two schools.
Of course, this exceptional journey gave us the opportunity to visit Bangkok as well as some highly valuable places of Siamese history, such as the ancient capital Ayutthaya. There was adventure with a trek in the jungle at Kanchanaburi, near the famous bridge over the River Kwai, and also relaxing moments on the splendid beaches of Krabi.

2005 – Safari in Kenya, Tanzania.
In October 2005 it was our great pleasure to offer our boarding students a most exceptional experience: a safari in the heart of Eastern Africa. For nine days we explored the vast territories of Kenya and Tanzania. We could admire an amazing variety of landscapes, the richness of local customs and discover real wilderness by visiting the magnificent national parks of Tarangire, Ngorongor, Masai Mara and of Nakuru.
