Sports
The following individual or team sports are offered on the campus:
- Introduction to soccer for second and third grades
- Outdoor ball games for students grades 3 to 6
- Basketball, volleyball or handball for students grades 4 to 6
- Gymnastics and athletics (track and field) for students grades 4 to 6
- Capoeira for students grades 4 to 9
- Archery (September to November and April to June) for students grades 5 to 9
- Unihockey for students grades 7 to 9
- Basketball, volleyball or rugby for students grade 7 and up.
- Jiu-jitsu for students in 7, 8 and 9 grade
Champittet Tennis Club (TCC) includes 198 members and is located on the campus. The tennis pros are affiliated to the Swiss Tennis Association club. They organise group or private lessons which are adapted to the level and age of each participant. Our Club offers its members the opportunity to participate in different tournaments.
Collège Champittet encourages them to participate to the following sport events :
- The intra-school competitions ADISR : sports tournaments involving 19 private schools in the Lake of Geneva Region.
- The Black Race : a snow shoe and snowboarding event, an ideal opportunity to test one’s physical limits. It is reserved for older students. Each year, our students prove their exemplary courage and spirit of fellowship.
- Our ski camp for the secondary students takes place annually in January in Fiesch. Skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing and igloo building are a few of some of the many activities offered.
- The 20 km of Lausanne : students, professors and parents run – according to their age, condition and motivation – 2, 4, 10 or even 20 km. Each year, our students demonstrate their ability to face such a challenge.
- Sports and Field Day : organized each year by the Collège, regroups all the students for a variety of athletic competitions.
